Новий рік по-англійськи – сценарій свята.
Для сценарію потрібно: картинки за темами «Новий рік» і «Різдво»; сніжинки для прикраси кімнати; завдання на картках для ігор «Розшифруй слова» і «Продовж логічний ланцюжок»; костюми Зими і зимових місяців; 60 сніжинок; сніжки з вати.
Мети проведення свята «Новий рік по-англійськи»: узагальнення вивченого матеріалу з теми «Свята» (Новий рік і Різдво); актуалізація лексичних і фонетичних навичок; підтримання інтересу до вивчення культурних традицій країни досліджуваної англійської мови.
Хід сценарію
Провідний. Good morning, girls! Good morning, boys! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine today. Are you ready to start our party? Today we shall have the English party and have a talk about winter, Christmas and New Year!
Учитель вітає дітей і повідомляє їм тему свята. Учитель є провідним і одягнений в костюм Зими.
Провідний. lam winter. It is very cold. The ground is covered with snow. There is ice on the river. When I come, all rivers and lakes are frozen. The sun city and later sets earlier than in summer. Today we have three teams: their names are winter months. Now you can see the captains and listen to their stories.
(Входять З учня в костюмах зимових місяці — грудень, січень, лютий. Ці учні є капітанами команд — Грудень, Січень, Лютий)
Провідний. Now it is time to start our competition. Our teams are ready with the poems and we shall listen to them with great pleasure.
Команди по черзі представляють вірші англійською мовою за темою «Свята», вивчені заздалегідь.

Ведучий проводить ігри з командами.
Гра “Words'”
Учитель привертає увагу учнів до слів на дошці (Christmas, New Year), Командам пропонується скласти якомога більше слів, використовуючи букви з назв свят. На виконання завдання відводиться 3 хв. У конкурсі перемагає команда, яка склала найбільшу кількість слів.
Гра «Продовж логічний ланцюжок»
Кожна команда отримує картку із завданням. Учням дається 2 хв, щоб виконати завдання і вписати подібні слова.

Гра «Розшифруй слова»
Діти отримують картки зі знайомими словами, записаними в транскрипції. Учні з кожної команди по черзі підходять до дошки і записують слова літерами. Перемагає команда, безпомилково або з найменшою кількістю помилок написала всі слова. Також враховується час виконання завдання.

Ведучий пропонує учням відгадати загадки. Кожна команда відгадує по 2 загадки. Якщо команда не може дати відповідь, то хід переходить до наступним учасникам.
